Hey all

could over filling a maxima fuel tank give a code p0171 or mess up any filters? I found out that they usually dont take much after they click off so when it clicks im done.

Thanksmike

I have never heard of a error code pop up from filling up your gas tank, but it could be a new one on me.

I would say no. P0171 is a lean code, you've got something else going on.

The shop put in a new o2 sensor and said that fixed it but the same code came back on the next day. I know there is 4 o2 sensors do i hve to replace the other 3? any Idea what it might be? Could it be the startings of a bad MAF?thanks mike

for me it was a bad maf. I did a tune-up. Then changed the maf. If you're getting a code like that chances are something is causing it not that the O2 sensor is messed up. You end up having to do the O2 sensors but mine was fixed with a MAF switch.Jay
