I'm new to this forum and love all of the interesting information available!

I have a 99 Q45t with about 104,000 miles on it. I've had it since 60K and it's been one of the best cars I've ever owned. I've had all of the front suspension replace - Due to my wife sliding it into a curb. A couple new Ignition coils put in it, New brakes all around, and other general Maintenace. Anything else I should know about that needs to be done.

As to the reason why I'm posting here:

My Service Engine Soon light came on so I purchased a laptop scantool and found the code "P0158" as the problem. My research has told me that this is the Bank 2 Sensor 2 O2 sensor. It has also told me that this is the left rear sensor. While it was up on the hoist for tire rotation and oil change I located all of the sensors without any problem. Is this information correct and if so do you recomend any place to purchase this sensor and also does it mater if it's OEM or not. Comments and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

100-120k is time to replace all 4 O2 sensors or just do it one at a time and never have it functioning like brand new.

Thanks for your reply!

One of them was replaced already - It was done when the dealer replaced one of the Ignition coils, I'll have to check to see which one. Could the O2 sensor make it seem like it's missing when you accellerate? Do you have any recomendations on where to purchase them?

I thought bank 2 rear 2 was Passenger side?

Anyway, Q45tech's advice is worth considering, except for your new one.

Try http://www.sparkplugs.com , but call as their website lists incorrect sensors in the pa.

Sparkplugs? sparkplug? .com. I can't remember which it is. They have them for about $50 per as opposed to $90-100 elsewhere. You said your car has a "miss" on acceleration but on my 97 which was sluggish on acceleration, the knock sensors were to blame. Not sure if you're doing the work yourself but both the knock sensors (ks) and the O2 sensors are jobs possible for the average mechanic. I did a quick write up on each job that's somewhere in the search feature.

Good luck and these cars are unbelieveable. Mine has 218,000 miles and drives better than any car I've ridden in!!

Thanks for the reply!

I thought I would write back to you and tell you that after I got your response I went back out to check to see if any other DTC codes had popped up in addition to the P0158 O2 sensor one. And what do ya know - Now I have Code P0325 - Knock Sensor 1 Circuit Malfunction. Now I need to know about replacing it? Does it need replacing or could that be something due to the O2 sensor? None of these parts are particularly cheap so I don't want to just start replacing parts but if they need to be replaced then I'm not complaining. You said you posted information on how to repace the ks and o2s - but I wasn't able to find them.

Once again - any information you could give me would be greatly apprieciated

Most of the posts like this on operational problems and solutions are in Infiniti Online Mechanic.

Search there. I know a recent KS solution is there.

This post might even be moved there.
