The below is for a Pathfinder, but the picture provided is for a 2001 QX4

Nissan Technical Service Bulletin #NTB02-006 addresses the following codes for 2001 Pathfinders:

^ P0138^ P0139^ P0140^ P0158^ P0159^ P0160

The bulletin states that if you have any of the codes, replace the incident O2 sensor. If you have codes P0138, P0139 or P0140, replace the rear RH O2 sensor with the following part, based on pro date:

Built up to 8/1/00: P/N: 226A0-4W001Built on 8/2/00 or later: P/N: 226A0-4W010

And I am pretty sure I've circled the correct one below...

Thats the recommendation...

I'm pretty sure i've heard people cleaning them by soaking them in gasoline but thats up to you.

OR what you can try is clearing the code and seeing if it comes back. A lot of the time severe temperature changes can throw codes for this.

That is actually the passenger side rear. Rear O2 sensors actually have no effect on drivability they just monitor emissions post-carb (or something along those lines). So if you're not looking to spend money, you can just....do nothing.

I currently have two codes for rear O2 sensors and I do plan on taking care of them, its just not at the top of my list. If the light bothers you, clear the code every time and just check regularly.

Hope this helps!

I disconnected the battery again and let it sit overnight, connected it this morning, startup was a little rough and had to give it some gas to keep it alive for a second, then it levlled out @ 1200rpm (its cold as hell), idled DECENT for a few minutes without stalling, but still sounded rough / small miss

No codes popped up right away, but I didnt go anywhere and drive it any place, had knowwhere to go lol

The '01s have a mondo fuel filter. FSM does not specify a change interval. And a dirty fuel filter will affect high revs first, then medium revs, and onlyidle if it's REALLY REALLY dirty. So I don't think it's fuel filter.

Any chance you have multiple codes and are only seeing the first one?

SHE THREW A CODE!!!

P0300 Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected

When I started it up I had the scanner connected, and P0300 came up

It sounded like it was on a few less cylinders, as the exhaust note sounded like it was pulsing quite a bit, car had no power trying to elave the driveway, then like 2 minutes going down my road @ 10mph it cleared up and the car ran much better, aside from the slightly struggling idle dipping down into the 400rpm range....

ANy ideas??

What happened the next time you fired it up cold? After a long battery disconnect, the ECU forgets the fine tuning for your engine and has to relearn it.
