Ok, so in that case, the solenoid on the passenger side (bank 2) was replaced today, but I'm still having the same issue where the car hesitates at either 1500 or 3500 RPMs. I also keep getting these codes since installing the PPE headers: P1148/P1168 ((open loop) and P0031/P0051 (circuit low). I replaced both sets of o2 sensors and wonder if the wiring/extension on the upstream was done incorrectly. The shop that installed the headers soldered the wires for the extension. Could that be the cause of the codes and the performance issues?VStar650CL wrote: ↑Thu Sep 14, 2023 4:00 pmNope. That's a VQ. VK's all have bank1 on the driver's side. See EM-300:

Started the car yesterday morning and no codes. Let the car run at idle for about 10-15 mins and nothing. Drove the car all day with no issues (it actually ran BEAUTIFULLY!!!) until I was heading home last night. SES came on and I now have P0021, P0300 and P0090. The timing was changed on this with the recall, so I don't know if it's the HPFP. With that update, do you still think it's the cam sensor? The solenoid I bought was the Duralast TS1035. Not sure if that helps or makes a difference.VStar650CL wrote: ↑Fri Sep 15, 2023 4:40 amThe only other thing you can try in the way of parts is a new b2 cam sensor (actually a "phase" sensor on a VK). Sometimes a sensor that's "mis-hitting" or phase-shifted can masquerade as an IVT issue. If that isn't it, then chances are you have a hydraulic issue in the timing cover or a jumped chain. If your scanner will stream cam angles, take a look at both banks. They should be around zero at idle, if b2 is out by 3 degrees or more then it's likely your b2 timing chain has slipped.
I'm not having any hesitation now. The car is idling very rough, so I am not driving it. Trying to figure out what to do next besids pull my hair outCaduTwo wrote: ↑Sat Sep 16, 2023 5:15 pmI have an M45 with only P0021. Summary @

The faulty side was 20 deg different than the other, I had a bad migraine and don't know if the mechanic was referring to a temp monitor or phase angle. Is the hesitation between 2nd and 3rd gear? My M45S consistently does that from a cold start and I remember there being an optional TSB that adjusted the timings to not shift so hard to thunk/knock from cold.
