P0021 nightmare, would be so grateful for any help

Have replaced cam sensor vvt solenoid and changed oil

Incorrect camshaft timing will cause this code to come up. Did you use oem parts? Does the code come up after it’s been cleared with the key on engine off? I would be willing to bet the timing jumped. Engine running poor? Lack of power?

The engine uses crank and cam correlation to run it’s possible the crank sensor is at fault causing this code. Goto a Junk yard pull both crank and cam and if that fails check timing. Those engines are difficult to do timing chains on, the oil pan has to be removed before the timing cover can be removed. If the engine ran low on oil, it probably jumped a tooth.
