You are familiar with P0011 and P0021. Here's what the other 3 are:

P0335 Crankshaft position sensor A circuit
P0462 Fuel level sensor circuit low input
P0725 Engine speed input circuit

My Pathy has been purring like a kitten. Yesterday, driving home from work, there was kind of a bump... the cruise control cut itself off and the Service Engine Soon light flickered on a few times. Other than that it ran fine the rest of the way home. I checked the codes and got P0011 and P0021.

This morning, it wouldn't crank. Engine was turning over faster than usual. I checked codes again, and got the first 4 that are on this list. I waited a few minutes, and tried again. This time it cranked. I let it idle a few minutes, and took a chance and came on to work. I checked the codes again, and got the 5 listed above. It ran fine most of the way (27 mile trip). The last 5 miles or so, it was a little hesitant when given the gas.

Thoughts?

Thanks,

Also, what's the best way to clean camshaft position sensors?

Since the sensor is only $72 for OEM or $34 for a Spectra, I would just buy the sensor rather than try to clean the existing one.

Spectra: https://amzn.to/2JPlZ9L

I think what you are actually needing is the crankshaft position sensor. On these there is no cleaning to be done. It isn't anywhere that it would get dirty. It is a magnetic sensor located on the bottom of the bell housing. It is an extremely easy fix. The sensor is a bit more expensive, but well worth it because it is your only option to repair. My 2004 had the exact same issue a while back. One sensor and 10 minutes of work later, and it ran just fine. They do fail suddenly.

P0011, P0021 were the first 2 codes to appear. The are for the camshaft position sensors. Then the other 3 appeared. If I clear the codes, P0011, P0021 appear first again. Then later, 2 or 3 of the others appear.

To replace the crankshaft P.S., do I need to remove fluids first?

OK, so I went ahead and pulled the old Crankshaft position sensor and replaced it with this: https://www.autozone.com/engine-managem ... 526_0_4995

It cranked right up. I cleared the codes, drove around a while and came home. Checked the codes again - clear!
Thanks nickelghandi... you were dead on.
