I've had some problems with my powersteering. Turns out it isn't the pump. My pressure line gets really hard and vibrates excessively when I turn the car on. (after I correctly bleed and blah blah blah, please DO NOT tell me to bleed it again) The problem with the hardness and vibrating is that the line should be softer and not as firm. The other people with 240s in the area all have soft lines when the car is on as well. Sooo, my new assumption is that there is air in my rack or other part ofthe system. Does anyone have a way of bleeding the rack or system that isn't the standard "take the wheels off the ground fill the pump, turn the wheel, fill again etc?" because that obviously isn't the issue anymore.

Well, you know what you can do... BLEED IT AGAIN!!! J/K

Anyway, that's weird how the power steering lines would be soft or not hard. For mine, engine is on or not, it's incredibly hard, same goes for my return side. What concerns me is the vibration. How did you determine it wasn't the power steering pump? I mean it could be creating a surging pressure from being bad which creates the vibrations.

I've ruled out the pump for the most part because its the third one and it makes the same God awful sound as the previous two. A nasty WHURRRRRRREEEEEEEEEERRRRR. Maybe the fliud isn't circulating, but the last two pumps came from running cars. I haven't had money to get a brand new one (autozone or what not) to see what happens then, but I don't have high hopes for it...
