i have super hicas. i disconeccted the p/s pump. i havent ran the car yet. But will i run into any problems with running no p/s even if i have hicas? All i did was block the little holes on the hoses that pump fluid through out the steering racks. im only doing this temporarlily till i find a pulley for the p/s pump. ANYBODY SELLING PULLEY FOR SUPERHICAS POWERSTEERING PUMP??

You can actually take the fins out of the rear of the pump and be fine. A friend of mine has converted a couple of HICAS pumps into non HICAS pumps that way, and those pumps have performed flawlessly for quite some time now. It's not something I suggest to do if you're on the fence about your HICAS. You should be ABSOLUTELY certain that you will never use your HICAS.

Also I recommend getting a HICAS eliminator kit if you pull the pump out of the loop. I believe that the HICAS system doesn't have a failsafe to keep the wheels locked into a stock position if anything in the system fails.

Are you looking for an aftermarket pulley for the Hicas pump? If so, they don't exist. The only option would be to get one custom made(probably not worth the money).

If you just want a stock one talk to marco at http://www.sr20store.com , he's got more parts than he knows what to do with.

a buddy of mine had a hicas, and tried to disable it by disconnecting the lines and blocking the hole with a bolt, now he has no power steering at all. later he found a rear non hicas subframe at the junkyard and just swaped over his lsd so i would think that would work better than the eliminator kit

falco, that would be the proper way to rid yourself of HICAS, but unfortunately, people don't like to go through the hassle of pulling multiple subframes out of cars. I do admit that it's a PITA, and I would dread doing it as well. The eliminator kits are nothing more than a convenience
