P.o.s.!!!!!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

ok new probs...got my car up and running finally 89 sohc no egr or ac fyi... ......... and then the other day, i was driving back to work and car just well just fell on its face.. started running like ****... i can hold the throttle to 2500rpm and if i let off it dies... anything above acts like it bounces off the rev limiter ... bull****.. so i check the ecu code 41 air temp sensor...... and 12 air flow meter short or open circtuit....replaced the maf and still same problems...but now ecu does not show code 12 anymore.... just code 41... i dont think that is my prob... replaced f.f. and f.p. not super electrically inclined and no volt meter handy... what would cause the open circuit..someone please help...any suggestions... email / pm / or call me please ... 317-642-6468 Zack... please ....

A blown fuse could be the cause of the open circuit, but that's all I can say for sure.

if your maf is good check the harness for it to make sure there are no cut/frayed wires.i noticed my harness had a frayed wire under the intake the other day, so i cut it out and soldered some new wire in its place and taped it up. check yours too.

and yeah i replaced the maf with new... and still showing code 12 on the ecu....the plug on the maf itself had the plastic cover on the wires showing... so i cut the plug off and replaced with a good plug... and car still wont run or hold idle above 2500.... should i solder the wires and then shrink wrap and black tape.... it just seems weird that it just started this the other day.... with no signs of problems....have you heard of a grounding issue from the maf causing this .... if so where can i reground it too... is there some sort of relay or fuse i can look into... ??
