On a 1996 I30- could someone tell me where these buggers are located and which are which?

I don't know off the top of my head. I would assume there are four... one for each bank near the exuaust manifold, and one each behind the cats. You might want to download your FSM here.

You are correct, except for count. Single exhaust, not dual.
