oxygen sensor????

Does anyone know where the upstream oxygen sensor is located on a 1998 I30. Need to replace but dont know where it is and how many there is. Thanks everyone

There are two. One below each exhaust manifold in the y-pipe.

The diagnostic code should be able to tell you which O2 sensor you need to replace. NGK.com pricing is very good. It's slightly higher at IoS. You have to make sure that your emission system is Federal (for Florida) and not California as there are some differences. All the web sites I've been to for CA configuration got erroneous information about the O2 sensors on my 99I30.

PB Blaster/WD-40 and an O2 sensor socket/adapter will come in handy.
