oxygen sensor

I just wanted to know would i notice the difference when i change the oxygen sensor cause i haven't changed it since i got the car one year ago.240sx........i just changed it the old one had dents on the tip of the oxygen sensor .......

You might see some better gas mileage. Its a possibility it is bad. I currently don't have an oxygen sensor.

Its not something that you just go and replace on a whim, usually. They generally dont need to be replaced untill a few years go by, as far as I know they dont fade like that.

If your car had a running rich problem before, and the o2 sensor was to blame, then you will notice better mpg like 574 said.

o2 sensors generally last a while, unless you had idling (i.e. maf or something related) problems and were running rich -> clogs/dirties the sensor.

If you still have the old o2 sensor, why not put that one back in to run the sea foam cleaner, then put the new one back in .

when you're o2 sensor goes bad, you'll start noticing, for example, some cars loose acceleration capabilities
