If your car had a running rich problem before, and the o2 sensor was to blame, then you will notice better mpg like 574 said.
o2 sensors generally last a while, unless you had idling (i.e. maf or something related) problems and were running rich -> clogs/dirties the sensor.
If you still have the old o2 sensor, why not put that one back in to run the sea foam cleaner, then put the new one back in .
