Seems previous owner did very little maintenance on this truck, but I'm not gonna complain as I paid next to nothing to acquire it.

I got an engine light with code P1147, when I checked online it showed rear oxygen sensor. When going online to purchase, I wasn't sure as there were many types and various price ranges. Could someone point me to where I could get one and if there's a part number to help with search. Thx.

I believe there are 2 rear oxygen sensors, right and left both are different, probably just different wire lengths.

If you want OEM Infiniti expect to pay at least $150 for one oxygen sensor.

Aftermarket around $20-$75

I believe Bosch 13650 and 13651 are the ones you would need, they are around $65 - $75 on Amazon

Scan showed: P1147- HO2S2 (B1) Max Voltage Not Reached. Does that say which one it is, maybe B1 points to Bank 1, is that right or left?

Beware, my one experience with ebay O2 sensors was not good. I think they were even branded Bosch, but they didn't work well and were intermittent.

I've had better luck with Amazon myself. But as long as they're the same chemistry and number of wires, they'll work. I've got sensors for Ford fitment in mine, which required a little splicing, but around $18 each for the fronts. But don't do just one, they're both the same age, if one has failed the other can't be far behind. Guys here aren't big on O2 sensor replacement, but they're 100K parts, especially including the fronts, which are a holy b***** to replace, at least the passenger side.

The sensors are available - ordering by the sensor number. Think I paid around $150 for both.

They are a bit of a pain to install because of the wire route. You need the correct direct fix sensor as the wires are very long.

Just a little info. Nissan had a firmware update that changed the way the sensors heat. w/o the update the system keeps the heaters on for an extended time - this shortens the life of the heater on the sensor.

Not sure if this truck got any firmware updates, I know it was at dealer's last in 2016 to change airbag, per recall. I'll have to call them and ask. Thx for the heads up.

They would charge you for the update -- not sure that would be worth it at this point. Some dealers are nice and will give you a print out of what services they did. Do you know the history? The later Pathfinder and Q's being so reliable -- many tended to stay with owners a long time. I bought both of my used ones from the original owners -- very little was done to them. Both my original one and the second are still running around my neighborhood -- the people I sold them to -- still have them for the kids.

The cars become a pain when they get mucked up will all kind of odd parts -- people mixing and using the wrong fluids .. cheap parts.

I've had truck for over a month now and I have no history of service, however, she hums like a cat and surprisingly runs and looks great for its age and current mileage of 176XXX, despite what appears to be lack of service for the past few years. Nearest Infiniti dealership is like 45 minutes away, so I called Nissan dealer and they were not aware of any recall or campaigns re: firmware update for heaters on OS, but he said to bring it in and they charge $175/hour, that's the cost of 2 brand new OS, so forget them!

There was no recall for the firmware. It was I believe a TSB ... I had to fight with them about it with my 02 when it was new. The cars CEL came on -- code was for one of the 02's. It was still within the emissions warranty and they told me they would not pay because it was not the actual sensor .. but, the heater on the sensor. So they said the emission part of the car was working, Also noticed the "firmware update" on the bill -- that's when I learned about the heaters staying on too long and burning out. Naturally, my local dealer changed both sensors even though only one was bad ... think the bill was $750. This was in 2003 or 04. When I told them the car would not have passed state inspection with the light on they told me I was wrong .... it went on for months. And -- why should I pay to fix your emission problem? Plus, they changed both sensors. In the end I paid for one of the sensors (part) -- $150. Likely the dealers labor cost on the job .. never went back to that dealer.

With an old car the dealers are often not the best place to go -- they don't see many old ones unless a recall pops up. Jaguar and MB typically have long time mechanics that they give the old ones too -- plus people keep those cars.
