I am trying to make an educated decision on the Infiniti Elite Extended Protection Plan for my new-to-me '08 EX. Mileage is right at 49900 so if I'm gonna' do it--I need to pull the trigger now.
For those of you who have utilized this extended warranty for service/repairs, I'd be curious to hear what kinds of items have been covered--and especially what kinds of items HAVE NOT been covered by the Elite. Reason being, I've run across posts in other Infiniti forums which indicated some creative contract wording may exist, specifically that a part or component must actually "fail" (as opposed to stop working properly) in order to be covered. Also looking to get an idea from the board whether "technology" items like nav, stereo, etc are covered under this warranty since I have not yet been able to get my hands on a copy of the warranty to read it for myself.
The business manager who did my paperwork at the dealer touted the Elite as a "100% continuation of the factory original bumper-to-bumper warranty", however, we all know there are individuals out there who make lots of money through partial truths and--in some cases--even outright deception.
Fyi, I have an e-mail into Courtney Mutama @ Infiniti of Scottsdale, AZ re: her discounted prices on the Elite PP, so we'll see what she has to say.
