I've already downloaded the FSM from here, amazing thing to have, but I'd like to find an original owners manual pdf if possible.
I have a 1986 300zx NA 2+0, a base model.

As this is the first digital dash I've ever seen or owned, I'm just curious what the "acceleration gauge" is actually showing me.
besides that i think it would be cool to read through, in any car I've owned i always learn something reading through it i didn't know before.

cheers for any help,
it's always appreciated

The tach shows you the amount of additional torque that the engine is making as the bars raise up when you accelerate. So if you notice when you are the freeway at 65 MPH on a flat area you are cruising the bars are flat. When you are pushing the car hard the bars raise up and to the top and in between as you push the car.

It is actually a very handy feature, many people like to bash the Nissan digital dash, it was the future and then it wasn't...but i still love my 84's which I have had to get rebuilt. The bars on the tach can be very useful.
