Owners Manual Case

Just a quick question.

My 2011 Rogue comes with a cheap, ugly, black Owner's Manual Case. It is really ugly and has even no Nissan name or Logo. It looks like a cheap dollar store plastic sleeve. I immediately throw it away and put all the documents (manual, warranty booklet etc.) into the plastic slot on the cover of the glove box. On the Ebay, I saw that 2008-2009 Rogue's came with a gray zippered cases with Nissan name on it (http://cgi.ebay.ca/2009-Nissan-Rogue-Ow ... 500wt_1156)

My question to 2011 Rogue owners: Did your car came with that black ugly case or zippered case? Or did Nissan decided to reduce the cost of the car by not putting Glove Box divider, Center Console Tray or Zippered good-looking Owners Manual Case?

Note: I don't have quick guide leaflet as well.. Is it normal?

Mine came with the "black ugly case". It did come with the quick guide leaflet though. While I admit that the gray zippered case that my wife's 2009 Altima is nicer, its not exactly something I really paid any mind to. Its pretty much out of sight, out of mind in the glove box.

The OM for my '08 Rogue came with a plain black vinyl sleeve. Ditto for all my other Nissan's too. Heck, even my parents Lexus RX350 has the same inexpensive vinyl sleeve for the manual... and it's a $45K CUV!

Items like these are either non-Nissan products that the dealer has made and branded with the Nissan logo (this happens quite frequently), or one off promotional items that were only available for a limited time, limited quantities or select models. The zippered version pictured in the eBay ad is actually the first one I have ever seen!

Mine came with a nice case with the Nissan logo. On the front, looked like leather with "Nissan" imbossed. It came with a manual dvd that I haven't watched yet. Sorry you got a crappy one.

I just leased the 2011 Rogue Sv, It cme with a nice case with velco to attach it from sliding.

The one in the ebay ad is the exact same as what came with my 2008 SL w/ Premium Pkg.

Mine came with a really nice gray zippered case with the Nissan embroidery. Love it! Holds a lot. No Dollar Store for me.

My '11 came with a kind of strap / case, holds the manuals, has velcro "hooks" on the back assumable to mount to carpet somewhere, I put a velcro strip in the glove box for it to hold onto, since the '11 didn't come with the divider in the glove box to hold it in place.

It's not quite as much a case as my '08 had, but not bad.

Mine came with the black POS case. My QX4 leather case puts this to shame. If I only knew, I would have kept it before trading it in.

POS for me!! I kept the case from my 09 Journey so I'm thinking I might use that, but then I have to find another case for my ZTS battery tester lol

I spent thousands of dollars and buy a brand new (and expensive) car and look at the case!

Some people think that the case of the Owner's Manual is not important, because it will be inside the glove compartment all the time. But for me it is important.

This is weird because I got that case with the zipper right from day one when I bought a car. The only thing did not fit in that case is dvd that they included also but who needs that nissan dvd in the car anyway?

That is typical of Nissan "Canada"...

Long shot but maybe junk yards would have nicer ones. I know they clean out that stuff but I have come across several they missed.
