so heres what happened. My trunk on the inside is completly stripped, no plastic panels or carpet, and I also took out the lock on the trunk because I was painting it. One day I had to pick up some people from school and I told them to throw thier bookbags into the trunk. When I was dropping one of them off, I pulled the lever to open the trunk and it would not open. I figured that when they were throwing in thier luggage, they must have pulled down that little switch the keeps me from opening it from the inside. So what I need is a picture of the trunk on the inside so I can send in my little brother to open my trunk for me lol. (im a 5'5 chubby asian guy... i cant fit in there from the back seat)

There's a little lever on the latch on the trunk lid that moves side to side. There's also a lever on the latch itself (on the car body) the moves up / down.

Not sure which one of these releases it, but try them both.

I think valet key lock is engaged. You said you remove the lock, so hole is there, right? Stick your finger and there's a latch there. Move it and trunk should be open. Or install lock and open with a key.

I don't remember exactly, but you will know. Anyway, backpacks are still in the trunk? Haha...

if your lock is not on , stick in one of your fingers and move the latch upwards and it will open

Go with a metal clothes hanger or something.

You should be able to reach through the back seat to push the valet lever back up though as well.

How are the piston's for the trunk? Are they shot? If so you may need to do what I do, have someone lift up on the trunk while you release it from the front seat.

He took the cylinder out because he was painting the trunk. I think you have someone lift the trunk when struts are shot.
