Driving home from Valdosta to Gainesville is about a 3.5 hour drive if traffic in Atlanta isnt bad. But I get 1/2 mile from my house and a deer darts out in front of me at the end of a s turn. I moderately brake and turn to avoid it but to no avail my brakes lock up at 30mph(I need new rotors). Pushed in my front end on the drivers side, broke driverside headlight, bent my hood and cracked my bumper. Also trying to get out of a ditch was a pain too...open diffs suck. Anyways I was wondering if I should claim it on my insurance or not. I have a 89 240sx with a redtop. I have a ticket for "laying drag" and a $500 deductible. Looks like I will need my bumper pulled out, a new driver side headlight, a new hood, and a front bumper. I was just wondering if its worth claiming. Do you guys think that it will raise my rates? When I fix it I was maybe thinking about a conversion instead. What are your thoughts on front end conversions? Maybe S13 sivlia or S15?

I dont much car for the s15 conversion. i wouldn't claim the deer as you can prob. fix it yourself for 500 bucks. This way it stays off insurance.

All accidents in Florida are "No Fault" - this is a "No Fault" Inssurance state, unfortunately. So even a no fault accident may increase your premiums. If you were going to fix the damage back to original shape, then it would probably be barely over your 500 dollar deductable, making it not worth the while, considering there'd be a chance of a rate boost. I agree with Krazy skwerel about the S15 conversion on the S13, maybe on a S14. S13 Conversion might me nice, but remember, it will most likely cost you 800-1000 for the parts, then it will need to be painted.

yeah, what Demonic said, usually ANY claim on insurance from you getting a rock chip in your windshield to you smashing into the back of a police car will make your rates increase by some percentage.

At least that is the way it is here in Texas...
