Has anyone used the web site overnightautoparts.com to order parts for the q45? I just bought some brake pads from them and their customer service does not seem to respond to my emails. Just want to know if the shop has a good rep on this forum.

overnightautoparts.com has a good collection for the Q45. I found some rear brake pads for the lowest price on the net and with more selection. I guess the trade off is customer service cause they have been slow to get back to me. I can understand the support for your sponsors, I am just out there trying to find the lowest prices for parts considering how expensive the repairs are for a 1991 Q45.

I'm sure I won't be the only one to say this, but sometimes the cheapest parts are just that cheap. OEM at our NICO low-price can be better in the long run, but it all depends on what you're after. Some want more stopping power so the same priced brake pads may not last as long and that's okay, others want less dusty/longer lasting and figure what the save in cleaning products on their wheels and more miles between pad changes offset the higher price.
We're always looking for good ideas and new solutions so don't stop suggesting, just cause this one isn't warmly received .

I've used them before for stuff that quality wasn't a big issue on before, but I wouldn't get anything from there that you didn't want a "generic" brand of. You will get the product though

My point was "sometimes" a cheap solution works as temporarily using cheap brakes is better than the backing rubbing the rotors . Also, OEM is good enough for most of us, but some prefer more agressive stopping power that to them isn't a "cost".
FWIW, for "giggles" one time I checked and the less than $20 Albany brand brakes had the sensor.
BTW Brian it's www.everythinginfiniti.com, now. No hard feelings though . (new look site too, check it out...)
From talking to alot of customers out there it's my impression that the cheaper aftermarket pad will fade quicker & usually will not come with the correct components (i.e. sensors, & unusable with factory shims). I know I'm a sponsor, but when it comes to pads on that particular car I wouldn't go with the off barnds.
