every morning i come outside my batt has been dead and i have to jump. i had the batt tested and its good. (practically brand new) so i have concluded its a drain. i went out and bought an Innova 3306 10 MegOhm Multimeter. i tested it out and theres seems to be a drain. i then started pulling fuses however there wasnt a drop at all. Anyone have any insight on this as im confused? is it the multimeter settings?

I guess the answer to your question depends on how much current drain you're measuring with your meter. If it's a few amps, you've definitely got an unwanted load somewhere in the vehicle. However, if it's just a few dozen milliamps, that's normal - and would take many weeks to completely drain the battery.

You have a bad battery, dump whatever you have and buy a new higher quality one.

Not all of the loads are connected to the fusebox.

Try pulling the relays in the engine compartment junction box.

Also - Do you hear any mechanical noises in the engine compartment after you shut off the engine and remove the key?

I assume the 2002 model still has a 120 amp fuse located right at the positive battery post. You might try pulling it before measuring the current drain - It should disconnect EVERYTHING from the battery except the starter.

Also, note that the car will draw more current for a few seconds after you reconnect the battery, until some of the electronics can power down. So, be sure sure that you don't measure until after everything's had a chance to settle.
