I have a 90 240sx with the ka24e. and i am overheating. and i dont know why. i have replaced my lower radiator hose and one of the bypass hoses that goes to the temp sensor to my throttle body or something like that. and now when i go above like 2500 rpms i get like a knocking sound like something is loose. and it is coming from the like underneath the throttle body area. and i am just baffled! can someone please help me out and give me some advise.

It sounds like a water pump to me. (could be the knocking) Grab the water pump pulley and wiggle it. If it has any play then it needs replaced. Is it leaking from the "weap hole"?

Its also possible you have a blown head gasket. Does the coolant system have a lot of pressure on it when running? Is any white smoke coming out the exhaust? Are you loosing any antifreeze?

i havent tried doing that. but it doesnt look like i am leaking from the water pump because there is no water coming out of it.

Try that. If you dont see or feel anything then get a friend to help you. First let the car cool then pull the rad cap off to release the pressure then put it back on. Then get a friend to crank the car over at the same time keep squeezing the top hose. If it presurizes instatly as soon as he cranks then it sounds like a head gasket.

Is a cyl dead or is it just misfiring under a load a little?

ok so I found out where it is leaking from. There is a tube that is coming from underneath my intake manifold, and it is leaking from that tube. It's a tube that bends at a 90 degree angle. Does anyoneknlw if I haveto to take my whole manifold off and does that tube twist out or is it pressed in there? And if it is presses inthere do I haveto get a new manifold? Plase help me!

KA24E? Not sure if it is. JB weld works wonders though. Held my radiator together for weeks with about a 4in long hole about an 1in wide.

Wow seriously?! Yea this is a very very small leak. So how long do you think that that would hold? And do I have to get it dry before applying it?
