Bout 10 mins after driving my car it starts to overheat and it's cold as hell at night right now in Wis. (10 - 0 degrees) Anyways I've got the stock fan on but before my bro ran two electric fans so i thought it just wasn't cooling it enough. Then I try to crank on the heat to cool it off but all I was getting was cold air. Could that just be a bad thermostat or something else?

probably not it but maybe you have a leaking heater box? mine was leaking after my swap for some odd reason, leaked a bunch of coolant in my cabin and i didn't even know til weeks later. car overheated once from the loss of coolant. i doubt this is your problem though but just a small possibility

Sounds like a blockage somewhere, are the hoses really hard on the bottom hose and soft on the top hose?

most likely there is air in your cooling system. try to bleed the system... also look and make sure all clamps are tight

is it overheating while cruising or standing?

if your thermostat was gone it would most likely overheat after 2-3 minutes (not even).

IF your getting nothing but cold air when you turn on heat, most likely you have air in the cooling system, or you are low on coolaint. I would check that before anything else but if your car wasnt over-heating previouslyand now it is, most likely you have a bad thermostat.
