If you replaced out the radiator, so that must ment you drained out the fluid. When you drain out the fluid, all the fluid comes out including your radiator, hoses, and engine. When you fill it back up, your radiator gets filled back up and not the hoses and engine. Meaning that not enough coolant is there. So usually when you fill her back up you let her run for a little and let the new coolant circulate and then shut it off and wait until its cool so you can check the levels. Usually it will be low and you pour in some more. Thats what I think cause I replaced my radiator and flushed it lots of times and it usually does that for me. Hope that helps.

There have been several threads about this recently, so I'm sure a search would yield some good advice.

I would try making sure your coolant is full, and bled. Assuming you have already done that.... then:

Replace your thermostat. I had a similar problem recently, although my overheating was very random, and I put in a new thermostat..... still overheated. Then I had the water pump replaced (it had a very small leak and the diaphragm was torn).... still overheated. Finally my mechanic tested the new thermostat that I had put in..... it was faulty.

What I'm trying to say is.... test the thermostat first, and if that's the problem, test the new one BEFORE you install it!

I had the same problem with overheating on my 90 240 and I tested everything out and figured it was the head-gasket. I took the whole thing apart and found nothing wrong with headgasket but replaced it anyways and put it all together. Started it up and after 5 mins it overheated. It turns out the timing chain tensioners went out and the chain ate through the timing chain cover and all my coolant was going into the oil. My 240 is still recovering from this(ok I pretty much have to take the whole thing apart so I am saving for an Sr20det)

Sounds like the thermostat to me. When you change coolant you should change the thermostat anyway. Just remember to pop it in some water that is about the temp your thermo's set to open at. OEM I think is 170F? I think it also ran me about 20 bucks. So not too bad I guess
