I have a 2006 M35 with 135000 miles on it. Thursday the AC stopped working and I noticed the car was over heating. The over flow tank had no coolant. I had the towed home and did a pressure test on the cap. The cap was out of spec so I got a new cap filled the system, drove it around the neighborhood. Again it started overheating. I pulled back into the garage and this time I could see the leak coming from the radiator right under the cap between the plastic tank and radiator core. Has anyone seen this before. I know the car has high miles but this doesn't seem normal.

Thanks

Just call it bad luck. I had to replace my radiator on my FX35 right after factory warranty ran out. I was not happy....

I would not be happy about that either.

But this car has been serving me well, so I'm not upset. Where is the best place to order parts?

If you decide to put some work in it, change out your water pump and thermostat... At those miles it would hurt to do preventive maintenance. :gotme

I would be happy if my radiator lasted 135,000 miles

Let's pray you caught this before it caused any further damage!

Did you ever get the problem fixed? My car just started overheating today, I'm taking it to Infiniti tomorrow because I had a letter from them about the radiator fans not working properly and they extended the warranty on them. Hopefully that solves it for me, my car has 85k miles.

Nolmt50, did they happen to mention if it was a recall? I am out of warranty, and even though I don't have problems now, I'd like to get the fans replaced if there are known issues.

It's not a recall, I guess it's just an extended warranty to 8years/100k miles.

Here it is:
