Ok...my car was overheating really really bad. Like every ten minutes of driving. Now. I changed, the thermostat, fan, hose, water pump....it still overheated. So than, i changed the radiator. and it was driving for over 3 hours, and than it got hot. When i popped the hood, the side tank was boiling. And the hose's were hard, the top radiator hose, and the hose that comes from the sidetank to the top radiator. Were hard. There is no air in the block, i dont know what it could be. it just now started getting hot again after driving the rest of the day yesterday and today. I dont know. Any suggestions, but there is no, coolant in oil, oil in coolant, or water out exhaust.

Start the car with the radiator cap off, and look for bubbles coming out of the radiator. A blown head gasket between a cylinder and the water passages can cause hot combustion gas to be forced into the coolant. A friend of mine constantly had overheating problems untill one day his radiator blew up from the pressure because of the head gasket.

yes, i will try that, now do i check for the bubble after its been running or do i watch when i start the car and see at the start. Also....would the car like bubble in the sidetank if it just straight anti-freeze and not 50/50. Because it was doing it like that, so than i added water, and it hasnt over heated since, but it has gotten like, bubbly in the side tank, boiling, but nothing. Its been over 2 days now, since it's overheated. So i dont know.

uhhh...yeah.

Antifreeze is an additive, it should never be more than 50/50 with water.

50/50 is assuming you live in Alaska or something. If you live in Texas like I do, usually you only do a small percentage of antifreeze. In fact, water alone will cool better than antifreeze, you just need antifreeze to raise the boiling point of water and lower the freezing point. You live in Oklahoma so I wouldn't suspect you need any more than 25-30% antifreeze or so. IIRC 30% is good to about 275-280 degrees without boiling.

I asume the lack of water caused something to happen and may in fact be your problem.

Thanks alot man, i may just drain the system again, and redo it with that stuff, the 30% anti. and the rest water. Because it still hasnt over heated, in over 3 days now. Im so freaking happy, i was thinking it was a headgasket but now i dont think it is. This is awesome. I may just put more water into it. Now i thought, the water would evaporate though? Does it not do that in this.

Overheating like that can cause the headgasket to blow out, and oil to glaze and coke a bit. You might want to change the oil if you've been driving on it like this for a while.
