When did this start? Check the radiator cap it could have a faulty spring.

water pump or thermostat. replace them before you end up with a blown headgasket like me. seriously, dont drive it til you fix it.

It's not 240 issues its just cooling issues. But it sounds like a T-stat since its overheating and loss of heat.

Is there coolant in the car?

If so warm it up and see if the rad hoses are getting warm, also check the heater core lines to see if they are warm.

Make sure the fan is working. If no dice and you still have the problem.....

New t-stat and cap. 1 bottle water wetter, 1 gallon coolant unmixed, 1.5 gallons of distilled water. Then make sure you burp then bleed the system.

yes that is your thermostat. I had mine go on me a few weeks ago. Just go to your local store (autozone, advance auto parts, pepboys, etc) and ask for a thermostat for you car. If you have the time, i would order an OEM Nissan thermostat, but i didnt so i opted for the store brand ones.

Also, bleed the coolant system so you dont have any air pockets. I had one that was a b**** to bleed out. There is, at least on the ka24de, a bleeder screw on the intake manifold right where the radiator hose connects to the intake manifold. It should have a little label saying do not open when coolant is hot.

and there is a writeup on NICO on how to replace thermostats, its an easy thing but seeing pictures on where everything is makes things a lot easier when doing it on your car.

I was speaking for everyone that chimed in to your problem, don't get nit picky. Also why would I suggest the same thing that 20 other people came behind me and suggested? It was either the cap, pump, or the thermostat.

I would rather you just say thanks and be on your way.
