i had a blown head gasket on my ka and decided i was gonna drive it somewhere. so i got a new radiator, oil , and coolant and went off. basically it started to get hot and then it went like half an inch past the hottest point.

i pull over let it cool for like 20 min and then decided to turn back ( mind you i am like 10 miles away) so i get back on the freeway and it gets hot again and i drive it at really really hot for like 4-5 min at 60-70mph.

as soon as i get off the freeway i start hearing some mechanical clanking but i am not sure what it was and it was getting worst. i drove with this sound for like 1 min and then i was already back home.

before this ride my ka was perfect and now when i start it it is rough, not idle but just when i rev it it doesnt feel smooth at alll....

what kinda of damage did i do..... im retarded

whoa, it went way past the hottest point? you have probably warped the engine. pull the head and check for warpage at the block and head. other thing is your bottom end could have heated up and seized at a few places.

Why would you drive your car if you knew the head gasket was blown??You could have just replaced the head gasket, but you now have lots of other stuff to worry about!!

Head is probably warped and you have fouled the plugs. Pull the head and have it machined. Make sure the valves and such are OK. Reinstall with new plugs.

No offense (at least not too much...) but at least you are aware that you're retarded.

well i wanted to take it back to my house so i could fix the gasket on it but i didnt think it would overheat so soon. but as soon as it did it drove rite back. its at my parents house.

i called my brother and told him to start it so he could put it in the garage and he said it started and drove fine to the garage. does that mean it didnt seize? and also what could that clanking metallic noise i heard be? as soon as i heard that i became real worried.

You won't know until you pull the head. Bottom end is probably OK unless you cracked the block.
