ok so i have had my rb20 in my car for the last 15 thousand miles with no problems. the other day on my way to work i blew one of the bypass hoses going into the block under the intake. i was right next to work when this happened so the temp barely went up. i replaced the hose along with a few others while i was in there and flushed everything out then put in a new thermostat and ran straight water for the 5 min drive home, hoping to get anything else left in there flushed out. i then drained and flushed again and filled it with 50/50. i havent had any problems bleeding it out before and this time was no different. everything seemed fine and the temp never went past 187 on my laptop but the engine itself seems to be way hotter than i remember. ive since flushed and tried another thermostat and now got to the point i took it out to just to see if it was flowing and the motor is still getting hot yet the temp is normal. no hot spots on the rad but the engine and both rad hoses i cant touch for a split second. headgasket isnt blown I checked the oil and did compression test, waterpump is flowing fine, and im 100% sure there is no air in it. im been working on cars and doing swaps for the last 4 years and i have yet to see something like this. stuff like this makes me feel like a noob . maybe im just off my tree and its fine, but i dont want to chance it and it not be fine. if anyone wants to shed some light on the situation it would be appriciated.

zerothread?id=262601 Heres some basic info to use as a checklist, but I would trust the sensors more than your vague sense of what it used to feel like. Although after a hard run I can touch the valve covers and intercooler pipes and such, intake mani as well. Koyo rads are hot as F though so I learned quick not to test by touching that.

i threw a pressure tester on it the other day and its forcing coolant out of the hose i put on. the fsm calls it the rear water pipe. one heater hose comes down to the T then one goes out to the block and the other goes up under the intake. im thinking something got clogged up in the block cauing the hose to blow the first time and it to leak this time. guess im just gonna have to limp it down the road to the garage and pull hoses off and pump some compressed air through the system. thats just about all i can think to do right now
