hey everyone i still have not found a solution to my heating issue, i checked the engine this morning and i saw fluid on the head right above the water pump where the gasket goes? does this mean i have a Blown HG?? i still dont see any smoke and oil and coolant look regular? i also checked my radiator and my coolant is gone

Run a temp sensor gun over the top and bottom hose. It may not be overheating

After replacing;
hoses,
cap,
water pump,
thermostat,
fan clutch,
and sweating out worry over a head gasket blown,
and before a radiator replacement,

We found out it was the sensor/sending unit and the car was never overheating. Bottom read 140 and top read 160 and the gauge was on H bobbling up and down a hash or two. It would intermittently go down to normal for a time as well.

After replacing that sensor and a pressurized flush it's back to good.

Boil a pot of water on the stove drop your tstat in and if it opens its good. Autozone sells a 160 and a 180 buy the 160. Also there's a funnel you can buy that's screws onto where your rad cap goes and you pour coolant into it and the weight of the coolant forces bubble out the blender kinda like a beer bong forces the beer into your mouth. A pretty simple way to see if your head gasket is adding pressure to the system is let the car cool open the rad cap and start the car. If coolant pushes out then you have a blown head gasket. That is assuming you got all of the air out of the system. Also instead of jacking the cars front up I like to jack the pass side up to try to get all the air to the bleeder. Also. What fan system are you using?

didnt read all the post from the rest but ya takes awhile one thing i did with my friends is run it once it starts getting hot stop somewhere safe, there going to be alot of pressure but unscrew that little bolt where you bleed the system but dont unscrew the whole thing or you can burn yourself you start hearing air coming out its going to take awhile but after you loose all that pressure til you can take off the bolt completely(use gloves cause the steam still kills) but take off the rad cap and start filling it up again and press on the upper hose and keep it revd up put the bolt back on keep adding until it doesnt go down anymore.

Also if you installed electric fans or messed with them, shout is a must, it helps alot and also make sure you didnt wire the fans in reverse cause thats what my friend did and was overheating like crazy, until i switched the wires to blow the right way

Do a pressure test on the rad. You have a rad cap typw attachment that has a bung tbat you use a little hand held pump to pressurize the system if it doesn't pressurize and hold pressure then you have a leak. Other then bleeding the system what have you done to problem solve?
