overheated head

I bought a 1989 240sx from my grandma for 500 dollars but she over heated it and blew the head gasket and what i need to know is if it would have warped the head

given the minimal tollerances aluminum has for overheating, i'd say it probably did. I would pull the head and have a machine shop check it for you. As well as pull the block and let them check the deck as well. Iron is much less likely to warp when overheated, but it's a nice precaution.
