overheat,need opinion

Information on the naturally-aspirated KA24E and KA24DE engines.

hello everyone.i already changed the radiator,water pump & last thermostat & my car temp gauge still goin high.anybody who has idea what is the problem?thank you so much

check the tubes and see if there are any holes. Check under your car in the morning to see if you have any leakage

How fast does it overheat? And under what conditions?

when driving may be after 15 mins the temp go hot then all of a sudden went down.but when idling only not moving,its normal temp.

If its only overheating at an idle I would try the fan clutch, make sure the fan is kicking in once it gets warm.

He just said that when at idle and not moving, the temp is normal.

Sounds like you've got air trapped in the system. Trying bleeding it out some more.

Use the search on this website. It's nothing new and it happens frequently. I did the hardest part for you, which was to make the diagnosis.

sounds like its low on coolant or needs a bleeing/both

i say its air...since he did txt me ( atleast i think it was him) that when he bled it it wasnt on an incline like everyone suggested it should be

Check if your alternator is charging to high. Sometimes this happens and causes your temp gauge to go up as you hit the gas.

this is for the portuguese guy.. when my car over heated it was the head gasket.. i just fixed it temporaly by using some coolant tablets from the chevy dealership and it sealed up all the leaks and it works perfect

the same thing happened to me mine was the head gasket what i did is i went to a chevy dealership and bought some coolant tabs that you put in the radiator and it seals up everything including the head gasket and it worked perfect you could probly buy them at autozone... and you might wana try the radiator cap replace that its only like 10 bucks

and if u do replace...suggestion would be with one that has the red tab to release pressure wihtout turning the cap....
