I'm in the process of changing my interior lights over to LED on N 02 Pathy SE. Everything has gone well (other than shattering the lens cover overhead), with one exception. After I replaced the overhead dome light and I have the switch in open door mode, I close the door but the light just barely stays on. It's not full on, like when the door is open, but has just a bit of charge running to it to give it a dim glow. I tried 2 different lights of 2 different styles, but the problem is still happening. Any ideas/suggestions? I have not tried going back to the original bulb because I want bright lights.

This happens in my girlfriend's Pontiac G5, too. The LEDs I use in my Pathfinder don't have this faint glow. I use some festoon bulbs from Super Bright LEDs which use 4xSMD LEDs. If you can live with the faint glow, it's nothing to worry about since LEDs draw such little power.

Same lights I'm using, but I got the 6x festoons. I have no problem in the cargo area, only in the passenger area. I'd like to know what the problem is and solve it, rather than having the glow.

You could solder a resistor (20ohm, 5W would probably suffice) across the circuit to dissipate any current leakage. The SuperBrightLED bulbs generally have resistors built-in though, which is why I find it odd that there is still a glow. Maybe their CANBUS LEDs have beefier resistors which would help mitigate this issue.

Likely just a voltage leak due to the security system sharing the same door switch.
