when i run the car hard(like actually running it or doing a quick burnout) i'll stop it to let it cool like always. but when i open the hood to do so, i see that some coolant has come out and wet the fender. everything is normal at this point. it's not overly hot, idling fine, overflow tank is at regular level. what would cause this? and is this o.k.?

depends how full you filled the resevoir. most (not sure about the 240) have a hot and cold fill line, with the hot higher than the cold. if you filled it all the way to the top cold, it will overflow for sure. other than that, i don't know what it could be.

no, it's not cracked. it has a little soft spot on the front, but the coolant definitely comes out of the nipple.

try checking/ replacing radiator cap 1st...

mebbe the pressure valve is getting weak in that thing, allowing excess fluid to spill out.

after it cools, is it below the low-fluid line?

just pray that you don't have a leaking head gasket, allowing combustion pressures to push that fluid out the overflow tank.

u can rent a cooling system pressure tester @ pepboys/autozone/advance auto parts that includes adaptors to check the radiator cap as well... fo' free
