when i run the car hard(like actually running it or doing a quick burnout) i'll stop it to let it cool like always. but when i open the hood to do so, i see that some coolant has come out and wet the fender. everything is normal at this point. it's not overly hot, idling fine, overflow tank is at regular level. what would cause this? and is this o.k.?

do you have actual coolant temp readings? usually when there's more water in the overflow tank, it means that the car is overheating, but it could also be that your rad cap is gone(the seal on the bottom of it)

hehe, you said "nipple."

Sorry, back to the discussion....

Pressure test that radiator cap (or just buy a new one for $5.00).
