Overdrive switch inoperable

Car: 2008 Nissan Versa S with power option package and A/T

I have an '08 Versa hatchback with the 4-speed automatic transmission. The overdrive light comes on and goes out after a few seconds like it's supposed to when I start the car but the O/D switch on the shifter handle doesn't work, when I push it 4th gear won't lock out. The car hasn't thrown any codes and the transmission shifts perfectly otherwise which tells me it might be some kind of electrical problem related to the switch.

Has anyone here had this problem and is there a simple fix? Thanks in advance from a new member in Canada. :)

Hi Guys, welcome to NICO Club.

What exactly is or isn't working about your OD button? I've got a Versa and might be able to help out. It's an automatic with Overdrive.
