So upon me pulling out of 4low and out of a mud puddle I noticed no power and when I turned my car off and then back on the overdrive light began flashing the low power issue stopped upon me driving backwards...I was wondering what this could have meant...

Could it be the fail-safe mode described in users manual?

Fail-safeWhen the Fail-safe operation occurs, the nexttime the key is turned to the ON position, theO/D OFF light will blink for approximately 8seconds after coming on for 2 seconds. Whilethe vehicle can be driven under these circumstancesplease note that the gears in theautomatic transmission will be locked in thirdgear.

Yeah, that is the transmission fail safe mode. It's nothing to really worry about, it just prevents damage to the transmission. If the vehicle detects erratic driving (fast acceleration/braking) it will activate the fail safe mode and prevent the engine from going above 2500RPM's (or 3000 maybe).

Mine does that all the time. Its very annoying when i am just having fun in snow or spinning alot. Is there a fuse i can pull? anything i can do to make it not be lame at the peak of the fun?
