How do I tell if my '91 240sx has an overdrive trans or not? It has a red od thing on the dash but a po put one of those neon thingy shifter knobs on and I don't know squat about this car. Please go easy, I am a very green nubie.

the stock shifter has a switch in the side of the shifter that you can turn OD on and off with. if you put in a neon shift knob, it brobobly eliminated the button, so OD is probobly off

So is this a simple toggle switch, and if so can someone tell me what color wires hook to it? I have been looking for a manual for this car but haven't located one yet.

The od comes on when you start the car. the button on the stock shifter turns it off or back on again. Get a stock shifter.

Razo makes an A/T shifter with an OD button. although its pretty tacky. it looks like the joystick from Afterburner.
