For years, I had this unbelievable fear of rats, and mice, gerbils, basically any rodent with a tail. Priss always had hamsters and guinea pigs and I had no issues with them. The thought of touching something with a tail though, would have me climbing the walls. So, you can imagine my horror when Dar decided he wanted a pet rat. My skin crawled just looking at them in the cage at PetSmart. The thought of touching one made me wanted to pee myself. Bad as I hated to, I decided I needed to secure my position at the top of the food chain. Luckily, one of Dar's rats is very friendly, doesn't bite, and loves to be held. She was a willing participant in my "mind over matter" experiment. Check me out....

Once you can overcome the whole "dirty-sewer-rat" cliche, they are actually quite lovable. She is so big now that you can actually scratch her belly like you would a kitten.

I remember her rolling around your kitchen in her little plastic ball. Funny s***. Now go make a video of you guys spinning the cats on the chairs and then letting them run around!

I'll have the kids do that tomorrow. Hopefully Zaga will do the "head shake" thing. :rotfl

I don't mean any offense to your cats, but if they ALLOW themselves to be spun on a chair, they're either missing a few critical screws or they're in on the joke. If I put either of my cats on a chair and started spinning it, all I'd get in return is a scowl and a cat walking away from me.

There are screws missing, I assure you. Zaga, Priss's cat, will jump up on the chair when Greg is standing next to it and meow until Greg spins him. He loves it. He digs his claws into the cushion and hangs on. Your arm will get tired long before he's ready for you to stop.
Dora, Saraya's cat, not so much. She hops down after a couple of circles. She's a freak anyway. She barks.
