If you run another intake hose after the MAF to allow for more air, would this correct the A/F ratio? Has anyone correctly hacked the S13 MAF on the 91-94 or put the S14 MAF on? I was thinking by adding the second smaller hose after the MAF with a filter would be my best bet, but input would be appreciated.

How does that add more air? A longer intake tract does not allow more air. A free flow intake will flow more air.

Your questions do not make much sense, why would you have MAF problems if you are running stock?

Also why would you want to add a smaller hose w/ a filter after the MAF?

Intake -->> MAF -->> Throttle Body

There is no way to "correctly" hack the MAF, unless you believe in those ebay timing chips.

A fuel controller will allow adjustments of air and fuel via MAF adjustments. Apexi AFC etc.

I'm thinking along the same lines as the hacked MAF concept. With the bigger piping on the hacked MAF, unchecked air is getting into your system. By adding another point of entry for air after the MAF, you're also allowing unchecked air into the system, which will compensate for larger injectors for the turbo application. I'm not saying it will work, but they follow the same logic. I'm thinking on the lines of turbo setup, not NA.

This question is faulty in the first place. For what purpose? For NA? For turbo? Either way, it's faulty. For NA you won't get any more flow than than the stock S13 MAF allows. You start putting air in after and you get an uber-lean mixture, etc. Bad. If this is for a turbo application this should be in the KA24DET section, not here. The "hacked MAF" Setup has been discussed fully there, as a simple search would yield.

having air come in via another, smaller air intake after the MAF is pretty much the same thing you accomplish with the hacked MAF, letting unmetered air in.

but have you read the hacked MAF page? the diameter of the MAF is increased ever so little, but it's enough to fix the a/f ratio. another intake after the MAF would let way too much air in, even if you think it's pretty small. you'd have a very lean mix, and something would explode.

Yeah that crossed my mind. You'd have to see if you could calculate how big of an opening to make. Might just end up getting an SAFC when I eventually install the turbo.
