it's interesting, chelk, that you are having problems in cold weather.

sometimes I feel like a shill for Nissan -- I'm not, believe me! but I had absolutely no problem last winter and have had no problem the few cold days we've had this year so far.

I guess I've been lucky with my V, while you [and others] have not been so lucky.

Chelk,

I'm with frankohabs: I have had no issues thus far in the cold weather here in Ottawa. i plug the car in each night, and in the morning, it starts right up and takes less than three minutes of driving for the blue low temperature light to turn off.

You might be experiencing some fuel pump/pressure issues, as other posts seem to indicate this is common in certain model years.

Whatever you decide on this summer, with this economic downturn you don't want something that's been parked for months on a lot. How would you feel if it's already made now and just sitting waiting for you out in the elements?
I know it, I feel so bad for the poor little things getting snowed, blowed and iced on for the past two months, and there's at least three more months before we really start to thaw out. Iowa weather sucks.
