My AC compressor doesn't switch on for about 3 minutes after i start my car .Then it turns on and off every 4 seconds or so. Just on off on off on off... The little light on the dash is green when the compressor is on and it goes out when the compressor is off. It will get pretty cold but it was WAY colder before the SR swap. Problby becasue the compressor would stay on. Any thoughts?

I am pretty sure that the wiring for the clutch on the compressor runs through the main engine harness. If it does, then when you lenthened your harness you may not have gotten the best connection for the a/c wiring.

Ac compressors will cut on and off normally. They Cycle. If, however, they do it rapidly, on and off for a few seconds, its usually an indication that you are low on freon (R12 or R134). Alot of AC places will check your freon level free of charge if you don't have the gauges to do it yourself. Always check the pressure before adding it yourself.

If you are still using R12 and you know how to pump it into the system yourself, you can save yourself money by finding a product called "Freeze 12". Its an R12 alternative that doesn't require you to change seals and stuff and it works great. I've been using it for years with no problems.

I'm R134. I'll take it by and have it checked. Do they have to get to the fitting by the exhasut manafold cause my intake tube is kinda right on top of it.

The check it on the low pressure side IIRC and that should be the larger hose. There is actually a fitting on either one but I'm sure they'll know what they're looking for.
