I have an '09 G37xS, and I took it in last week for oil change & rotation. Well, I get the car back, thank them ...blah blah. Get back to my shop & just out of curiosity, I wanted to see if they actually ROTATED the tires. They did, but I see these fairly good size scratches on EVERY wheel. They are all scratched around the lug holes. A couple have deeper looking scratches than the others, but they all got it. I called them, and b****ed to 'em...service mgr. wanted to look at them personally, so I brought them back over that very afternoon. He took a pic or two, then said that he would get back to me. This car is brand f**king new! It has 8K miles on it, and the dealer where I bought the car from are the first ones to put visible scratches on my car! Can the wheels be refinished? Should those F-ers pay for it? How demanding should I be when this dude calls me back? This car is something that I have craved for, and when I finally get it...I get 5 whole months of bliss before something happens...and then it's the dealer that does it! He is going to call me on Monday (sometime), so I am planning on demanding they do the work on the wheels and they best be like new. Should I be asking for more, since I have to drive 70 miles to go to this dealership?

I am not happy, and just writing this out has gotten me ready to rumble with these f-ers! I guess there should be a lesson learned here, like me actually LOOKING at the vehicle before I even leave the auto shop....

This was done at an Infiniti dealership, and I guess you would expect them to be not only careful, but professional! I am thinking about finding a new place to get all my work done......enough of my ranting, anybody have similar experiences, and what have you done?

Thanks for reading...and input!

wow good luck man, every time and i mean EVERY time i bring in my car for service something is F d up and they have to repair/replace it.

it is so annoying i would demand new wheels or i mean if they can buff it out or whatever else then sure. i would sure demand some replacement or like free oil changes or something. and conctact infininti lotaty about this let them know. they usually follow up with a survey but dont wait for that just call them up yourself.

good luck

I had a mobile unit come to my house to touch up a wheel and now you can not tell which had the boo-boo.

Yup. I guess my OP should have been a little more specific when I was asking if they could be refinished. I was more like asking should the dealership be the ones I am holding liable for the cost of the refinishing. Because I sure as hell was not going to do it. I took the service mgr. just about forever to get back to me...and THEN they only had a rep from a wheel refinishing company once a month (missed it for Oct., big a** storm on the ONE DAY in Nov.) that comes to their dealership and does the work for them. I finally got them done about 3weeks ago, and I am very happy with the results, AND the fact that they took the blame as well as the bill for this.

They also hooked me up with a free oil change, which by the time I actually was able to coordinate the wheel work on that ONE day, it was time to get the oil done too.

I am fairly certain I won't be going back to them anymore, since they are 70 miles north of me...and I have exhausted all the work owed to me by them. There is another dealership here in C.Springs, but I have not heard one single word about them...good/bad/indifferent. -One way to find out!
