Ok SO i have a 1993 300zx tt swaped. We were fine and then the other day the water pump went bad. . . so we replaced the water pump and the thermo ( not easy to do) and then we thought it was fine and it started to overheat again now with no leaks. . .so I am trying to figure out what the hell is wrong. If you have any ideas please post up!!!

No leaks with a good water pump and thermo = Blown head gasket. Do a compression check on all six cylinders.

evildky is right check for air leaks check the fan belt and maybe even check that the radiator is not clogged.

headgasket's are a pain, you sure you got a good thermostat? I've had dead ones brand new before. if your blow a headgasket you tend to either get coolant in your oil (check the dipstick if it looks foamy and whilte you got a problem) or you blow exhaust through the coolant passages and out the overflow canister, or in some more mild cases you'll only get a little coolant into your combustion chambers and you'l get lots of white smoke usually after startup
