I've had my new 2008 Altima 2.5 SL for six weeks now and decided to check the tire pressures. To my surprise, all four tires were filled to 41 psi instead of the recommended 32 psi (yes the gauge is accurate). Would this have been done at the assembly line or the dealer? And why??

Probably done so tires don't flatspot before delivery. Part of the Nissan inspection is to check that! My last car came from Australia with 60lbs in the tires for the boatride over.lol Just lower it and you will be fine (32-35)..

Thanks Coupe. Would have been nice if they adjusted the pressure at the dealership, or at least told me about it. I was a little concerned that the ride was so hard, but no harm done as I brought them down to 32 psi and the ride really improved.
