nothin special just gonna tell you guys that im a retard. i pulled the wastegate hose assuming it would have a 10 lb spring. drove it around a little bit. about the third pull i actually looked at the boost gauge(retard) and its been boosting to alittle bit over 20lbs. the motor is stock everything. hahahahah.

seemed to handle it like a little champ tho. didnt blow up. whew.

Yeah your a retard.

WTF were you thinking? The WG won't open without a signal.

Your lucky that turbo has any blades left on it.

I did it once at the track. I got all power happy and thought once wouldn't hurt. I keep what's left of my exhaust wheel in a ziplock bag. It looks like gravel.

didnt know anything was wrong till i looked at the gauge. didnt get high enough in the rpms to hit fuel cut.

i tried to get a vac line from my intake to the wastegate but it was a little short. so i said screw it it will open on its own around 12lbs. (had other turbo cars that did that) .

oh yea and just so you know, your internal spring pressure means jack diddily **** when you disconnect the source.

with it disconnected, your wastegate will never open, because it will see no boost.

it will open when there is enough exhaust pressure to overcome the spring. my last car it would open at 14lbs. but ya, know i know most dont

that has happened to me before. i was trying to run more than 14psi and could not, even with the mbc cranked all the way down (closed, so no signal to the wastegate). exhaust pressure can push the wastegate open and limit boost.

most likely the reason mine never went over 16lbs, tired old spring

lol this thread is almost as good as the kid on 240sxforums who asked if you needed a wastegate and if you could just block it off on some ssac turbomanifold.
