Simply, no more room. If I relocated the under the hood fuse / relay box I have just enough room, an dI have to get creative with pulleys to get by the radiator hoses.

what about putting twins in the bumper? take some truck mani's and flip them around backwards, with connector pipes running to the empty area infront of the wheels but behind the bumper?

Or put in a blower and save yourself all that routing and plumbing nightmares.

Exactly, plus I don't need a lot of boost 5-9 pounds of boost on a large motor is alot. A centrifugal charger will add the 125-150 WHP I want. They also run cooler. Granted compression makes heat, but its not from the exhaust. And cooling is an issue already.

Anything can be done, but I don't want to get into a fabrication night mare of SS pipe. Charger on a plate, pulleys, belts, oil feed lines, small intercool, tune done. Estimated cost 3000

Just going for a HOLY crap no lag 600HP

Sounds like it should be fun. I had an ATI on a LQ4 in one of my Denali Trucks. That thing hauled @SS and it was in a 5800lb chassis. I also was running 9lbs of boost. I am curious as to where you are going to mount the Charger though. Are you putting it where the A/C compressor would normally be?

No I am trying to borrow one for mocking up. Gotta figure if I need CW or CCW rotation. But right side of the motor is my only shot.

This is next years plans, trans is next.

Some of the TST people stopped by last night. Wrenched some stuff back together, swapped radiators, got the headers in, and messed with the wiring.

Found my speedo sending gear was broke. Accidentally broke my oil pressure gauge yikes. But its coming alone and getting back together. Just gotta order some parts and do some wrenching.

Still waiting on my LED's. Had it out fo the garage today, finishing the wiring nightmare. Very soon it will be back on the road.

New trans ordered today total with shipping is running me about 2100.

Oh if someone is selling some 5 lug +20 to +30 15x8/9's let me know. It's time to get some drag radials.

You need to tune off the VATS. I also had the emissions stuff tuned off. Using a factory 2002 Harness and ECU. The ECU has 160 pins on it.

MAF (3 wire)Intake air temp (2 Wire)MAP (2 wire)TPS (2 wire)CTS (1 or w wires)Oil pressure Sended (1 wire)Oil Level (2 wires)Bank 1 o2 sensors (4 wires each)Alt (2wires)If your using a T56 you need 2 wires for VSS

Then 16 Injector wires, and the coil pack wiring (32 wires) (all factory GM harness stuff)

The ECU will also look for the high and low fans, I use the low fan on signal only (high tuned off), AC clutch fan relay, Fuel level relay,

Then MIL lamp to the cluster. You can use the Nissan gauges to work (Speed, Tach, oil, water)

Good links http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/....html http://ls1tech.com/forums/conv....html

But yea, find a mail tune place. Tell them you want the VATS (Vehicle anti-theft system) off, Then have then edit some of the basic factory stuff.

This is my initial mail tune that got it running.

2001 - 2003 LS1 Operating System Installed - Eliminate VATS (vehicle anti-theft system) - Rear O2 Sensors Delete- Fan 1 Temperature On - Fan 2 Temperature Removed- 3.689 Axle ratio- Tire Size Changed- Top MPH Raised- 6800RPM- Diagnostic Trouble Codes Delete- A/C Deleted- EGR Deleted- Air Pump Deleted- Fuel Tank Pressure Sensors Delete- Disable Torque Management (automatic)- Eliminate Skip Shift (manual

Off the top of my head I dont remember, but download the S13 FSM and look at the ECU prints for the KA24 ECU. IE if pin 13 on the KA ECU is ignition power then connect it to ignition power on the LS ECU. If pin 21 is VSS high signal on the KA connect it to the VSS high signal wire on the LS ECU.

Use the same ignition power the KA24 ECU used. The prints and pinouts will tell you what wires get Ignition on power and where the constant 12V and grounds go.

You can also use the Tach signal wire from the KA ECU and land it on the LS ECU, as well as VSS, and CEL

For my 2000+ ECUBlue connectorPins 1 & 40 GroundPin 19 Switched IgnitionPins 20 & 57 Constant Battery

Red ConnectorPins 1 & 40 Ground

Hmmm well it sure is funny how things work out. I started talking about replacing the trans when I was working on the car, and started saving towards the new trans last month. I got about 1000 saved, still need another 800. We'll the current transmission must have heard me talking about swapping it out, and well it said screw you Kevin, and I burnt out the 3rd gear clutch packs. Being it only has 3 speeds I am 5000RPM at 55MPH in second, so she is down again.

New trans soon, old trans SCREW YOU BACK

Hmmmm

I think I am doing it, a 6 speed swap. Gonna try to get the new TR6060 or a D&D performance built T56 M12. I will know by the end of the week, after all the homework is done.

The sucky part is I have a TCI conversion flexplate, new converter, and DS. But I am afraid of braking another TH350, and the 400 requires heavy firewall mods, DS, and x member so why not just go 6 speed.

Yeah it will be a more fun streeter, but it will not be as fun at the track. The trans brake dump and lift would be awesome and get the numbers down in the 1/4 mile. But 3 gears sucks when cruising. These arent cheap trans either, so when I toasted the clutches it kinda hurt.

Speed for speed will be around the same. Last time I got on it I went from 35 in two, shifted into 3third at 75MPH and saw 120 fast. Probably 4 seconds. The car can run with the trans that in it, and could probably do 140 if I went there, but its scary because it gets there fast. The cam profile is mean, 3000RPM to 6500 is nothing.

The good is that I can catch a few bucks if I sell my current, flexplate, converter, and trans (which is not blown, just needs seals and clutched (200 dollar fix), but if I am pulling it, I am replacing it.

th350 will hold (if built right) 500-700HP depends on the parts.th400 will hold 1000+, but fitment is my issue.T56 built should hold 600-900HP depends on the forks, syncros, and bushings.TR6060 should take 800 out of the box, this is know as the T56 mangum, now used in the new GT500, new Viper, ZR1, and 2010 Camaro SS

If i cant find a TR6060 I will go T56, but build. I want 600RWHP, I want to support more then that. So if the T56 can take 800 its fine by me.

For sheets and giggles I added some lucas stop slip in her. Helped with my high RPM 1st and second gear slips, made them go away. Third is still slipping.

I am gonna drain her out tomorrow and giver her a cocktail, hopefull third gets a little sticky where I can still just cruise it for a month without getting on it. There is a toys for tots thing I would like to attend.

Trans money is close, I got just over 2000 to spend on a trans, will need a little more, so if I can make it a month on a liquid fix, or just not drive it I will have the new trans.

Depending on which trans I go with it may be a quick fix, or much more fabrication. Good thing I know a professional welder with a nice tig.
