Englishtown is meh. That car would be a blast on either of the tracks at NJMP (especially the bowl on Lightning).

There's a track day at Lightning June 8th that I could help you get into if you're interested.
How expensive is track time at NJMP? I'd like to go run a few laps in my car once i get the suspension issues sorted, and do they have any rules as far as noise/exhaust b/c my car is easily one of the loudest cars I've ever come across.

A guy I work for runs a program there called Track Time 4 Cars. I think it's around $250 without a membership (that includes entry fee). They run 3 groups and each group runs a 20 minute session. This goes from 9-12 and then 1-5 (12-1 is a lunch break).

you could also check out PDA driving school and nasanortheast. getting out on the track with an instructor all day will do wonders to improve your driving compared to just getting out there by yourself, and they're all great people. oh, and prices for most trackdays are all about the same... $250ish.

Researching appliction for street rod title and tags. Going to go talk to one of the Enhanced vehicle safety inspection stations in the area to see if they can sign off on the paperwork required.

This makes my swapped vehicle 100% Legal here in PA and traveling in other states. So no more worries or what if's.

So what's the word? You looked that up for a reason. You keeping it now? Or did you look that up so you could tell the buyer?

Also, supposedly there is a Federal Law that states no vehicle can have an engine swapped into it with more displacement than what was offered from the factory... I've only heard it through word of mouth, so it could just be talk. I'm not sure.

Found it. The way I worded it above is wrong, but I did find the federal laws. http://www.epa.gov/compliance/resources ... switch.pdf

No I got the title in for my bike the other day and I I was looking at the brand box and saw a brand for street rod and looked into it. Street rod still requires the vehicle to pass vehicle inspection, but in PA if the vehicle is driven less then 5K miles a year it is considered emissions exempt.

I read the EPA document, which urges the states to not consider legalizing swapped vehicle, but the governing body is at the state level for setting the regulations.

Street rod just gives me the okay to have it, with restrictions but I can adhere to those. Basically if I am pulled over I have no explaining to do. "officer this is a street rod, with proper enhanced inspection"

Little updates....

Starter was iffy so I replaced it and it was still iffy, pulled the red top put in a new yellow top and its golden. Also swapped out the black battery box for a Moroso NHRA vented battery box.

Doing homework.

Going to start building the 6.0 Iron block. Going to use a .030 6.6 stroker at 11.7:1 compression, with L92 heads. Once I get going on this I am going to sell my engine as a long block. Internals will be rated at 1000+hp, horsepower / tq should be near 600 and I think I may put some juice on her see if I cant see 900hp. Build is going to run about 4000/ wo juice.

Gonna be nasty as hell,

Yeah it was one of the first, and I'm gonna make it bad a** again. These new guys with their bolt in swapped LS3's psst, built stroker with juice. 900hp under 3000lbs hows that for power to weight.

I really only want a 66-72 Nova, more so the 66-67. But, face it guys with clean or restored Novas, don't want a 240. I am a bike nut, and I can have fun with it. Be weird having a bobber and a chopper. If I get sick of the chopper I am better off trading that for a Nova then the 240. My friend owns Larrys Hotrods and Harleys is is a known bike builder. Builds bike into the 100K range. He looked it over (pics and specs) and told me what he would sell it for, certainly not 55K, more then a 50% hit, but good money

Picking up my new engine on Weds....... no more 5.7, I'm going bigger. I am going to be reusing some parts (f-body accessory drive, electric water pump, MS3 cam, lifters, lifter trays, pushrods, valve springs). May or may not be using my heads (Port and polished 243 heads), I may go with a set of ported L92 heads, and I'f I do I will have use L92 intake, different injectors, and 4 bolt throttle body.

Or I may just sit on the motor until I am ready to build it (forged 11.7:1, 6.7 stroker)

Stuff that will be for sale (LS6 coilpacks, LQ9 intake, LQP manifolds, 317 heads, stock lifters, trays, pushrods, timing set, alternator, PS pump, AC compressor, water pump, LQ oil pan, Valvecovers, valley covers, LS6 short block (If i build drop the LQ in now)

6.0 tuned WOT, with my goodies swapped over I estimate about a 25-30 hp gain, ability to hold much more power.
6.7 stroker 640ish

Plan - Reuse my set up and upgrade my rockers. Have 243 heads milled from 64cc down to 59-61cc. LS6 stock pistons were 10.5:1, LQ9 is 10.9:1 with a larger bore 4.0 (101.6mm) from 3.9 (99.1 mm) Stroke is the same @ 92mm. So total static compression will be increased, maybe to about 11.3:1 and 18 more cubic inches. Only change will be a better lighter rocker arm, and a weight increase of about 60lbs.

Hopefully there will be a total gain of 60rwhp, but why do all this...... oil change in the current motor produced a chunk of steel

-59cc ported 243 heads, with Patriot racing dual gold springs
Texas MS3 605/610 238/242 114LSA
-LS7 Lifters, LS2 lifter trays, TR pushrods, Scorpion rocker arms 1.7
-Stock low mile LQ9 with GTO pan, LS2 timing gear and chain, ported LS6 oil pump, LS6 valley / engine covers
-Ported / honed Weiand intake, 85mm TB, LQ9 coils, Electric water pump, 10% underdrive

Some changes being made, heads being milled to 61.5cc not 59, and I cannot use my MS3 cam, lift is too high. The guys at TSP and helping me out with a custom grind for her. End compression will be 11:1.

I will also need space, looking for someone with a large shop that is willing to lend some space for when its ready to be swapped. Motor has to come out from the bottom.

I'm looking forward to seeing the end result. I still remember seeing your original videos from when you first got the car running, and comparing it to what it is now still amazes me. You really know how to follow through.

Lifters off the LQ are out for modding. Having the needle bearing and rollers pressed out, and upgrading to the Comp Cam Trunion roller.
