outter door handle(pics) 91 s13 hatch

mine is cracked and I need to replace it today since my car is getting painted tomorrow. so does anybody know how to remove this.this is the best picture I could find I searched everywhere. the frame around the outside door handle with the key hole.

There is 2 10mm bolts and some rods holding it in loosen the bolts fish the rods out of their plastic keepers and its readyto come out . It just takes a little finesse feeding it out of the hole.

The keylock cylinder is fairly easy to remove also there is a tab you have to depress then it will pull out if I am remembering correctly.

Agreed! It just takes patience because it's hard to get your fingers in there because of the close quarters.

I tried and tried to get the bolts but I couldn't enough in there I pulled the door panel and I still couldn't get to it I tried a wrench and ratchet does the window have to be up? cause the window on my parts car is stuck down

Yeah I think it does . You will have to get it up to get it out.
