Outside temperature display

Anyone have this issue and if so, what was the resolution?
When parked in my enclosed garage, the temp display always showed the garage temp on start up until recently. Lately and intermittently, on start up, the display will show the outside temp when I parked from the night before. It's as if it "remembered" and stored the outside temp when I returned home.

there's been a talk here before about inaccuracy of the thermometer in general. I don't recall any meaningful resolution though
