outside door handle problem???

so i have a 1990 s13 hatch. an im having a problem if the outside door handles. whenever the doors are locked i am unable to unlock the from the outside with the key? i was just wondering if there is a special way of doing it or something? so if there is anyone that could help me please let me know?

If you are having trouble with both doors and the hatch, its the key, if only the driver's door has a problem unfortunately you might have to change or repair the lockMy driver's lock does feel different from the other locks (you kinda have to make sure you are keeping the key in straight )...19 years of use will do that
